Interesting and good to know. I did try disconnecting and re-connecting everything on mine, but nothing helped. In my case BionX had to replace a component in the battery - now it's back to its old self again.

I found that to turn mine on I have to disconnect the brake sensor. This problem showed up after almost 3 years and I replaced the dashboard.

Congratulations, I know how exciting/nerve wracking it is waiting for your velo to arrive. I'd love to test ride the Mango, that's one of the velos that I missed during the Gathering.

Thanks for sharing your experience with your Quest. I kind of assumed that with the long history of the Quest the wheel rubbing couldn't be too significant of an issue, it just was something that really stuck out for me during my very short test ride. Someday I hope to get in a longer ride in a Quest that is actually adjusted to my height.

A couple rebuttals to your Quest comments, coming from 18 months of riding one.

First, the turning circle is large, but it is seldom a problem. I have many sharp turns on/off bike paths, inbetween bollards, and don't have any problems. Even have a few 120* turns that are made OK. Its surprising then that the one time I always have to make a three point turn is on our local TT course, the turnaround point is on a two lane road, no shoulder.

Second, the tire rubbing is not an issue. I just replaced my front Kojaks with 4000 miles on 'em. Probably could've gotten at least another 1 or 2k out of 'em. Yeah, you could see the sidewalls had some slight wear, but just barely. You learn real quick how hard you can turn before rubbing, and even if you do its just for a wee moment then you come back just slightly.

You're right though, the Quest is at home on the open road. However, I don't think any velomobile belongs on a busy MUP, the size and potential speed differential (even if you're not trying) just doesn't work. Not to mention the reactions to the "WTF factor" can be a disadvantage sometimes.
